Global Vision Film Festival
What: Canada’s oldest documentary film festival promises to engage audiences with thought provoking films.
Why: The array of films present local and global topics. Get your local fill with Dirty Oil and The High Level Bridge. The schedule includes documentaries on our shared planet responsibility, raging wars and highly personal films.
Where: Festival venues include Art Gallery of Alberta (2 Sir Winston Churchill Square), Metro Cinema (9828 101A Ave), and Paramount Theatre (10275 Jasper Ave).
When: Thursday, Nov 11 – Sunday, Nov 14. Tickets start at $10 or get a festival pass for $75.
Oh la la - Holiday Light Up
Christmas on the Square
What: Join the Downtown Business Association to light-up a 60 feet tall white spruce with 10,000 LED bulbs and hundreds of LED lights including cascading snowfalls, star-flashes and sparkles.

Winter Market on the Square
What: Do some holiday shopping with over 40 vendors from the Edmonton Downtown Farmers Market. Take home delectable baking, farm fresh produce, and handcrafted gifts – all under heated tents!

Let ‘er Buck
Canadian Finals Rodeo
What: A world class rodeo with bareback riders, steer wrestlers, lady barrel racers and bull riders competing for over $1 million in prizes.
Why: Giddy up, read the rules, and attend an event as Alberta itself. Keep the party going on The Buckle with live entertainment and Western style buffets.

Wrangle up the Kids
What: Farmfair is mostly about showcasing livestock with over 1000 head of cattle, 800 horses, and alpacas, but we’re smitten with the AMAZE-ing Ag for kids.
Why: AMAZE-ing Ag teaches city slicker kids about the ‘worlds’ of agriculture. Visit Dodge City for a Western trade and Christmas show.
