Edmonton Jazz Festival
What: A 10-day celebration of jazz! Concerts of all sizes hit stages across Edmonton.
Why: It might not be Montreal's, but it's our gem of a festival. Unfamiliar with jazz? Even better - it's all about jazz for everyone. Attend an event and you'll soon be a regular at the Yardbird Suite.

Upside Down and Different
The Works Art & Design Festival 
What: An incredible 13 days of creativity. Over 400 artists, 28 sites, 40 venues and 200 special events. 
Why: The festival is strongly committed to showcasing environmental sustainability with each piece designed to create awareness that eventually leads to positive change. 
Where: All around town!  From Sir Winston Churchill Square to the Arts District, you'll find art on display in the most mesmerizing places - Enterprise Square, Hotel MacDonald, Don Wheaton YMCA. Browse full event program.

Instrument Petting Zoo
Jazz in the Park

What: Free outdoor concerts featuring Edmonton drummer Sandro Dominelli, Nils Landgren’s Funk Unit, Afro-Cuban jazz vocalist Will Campa, soul-jazz singer Ola Onabule, and the big-band sound of Edmonton Jazz Orchestra.
Why: Good times in one of Edmonton's most beautiful parks - and an instrument petting zoo! Touch and play all sorts of instruments.
Where: Louise McKinney Park 
When: Saturday, June 26 from 12pm-7pm

The Dog-Days of Summer
What: Take your four-legged buddy to Sir Winston Laurier Park Park. Participate in the Tail Blazers 5KM Fun Run, the Fabulous Furballs 2.5km walk, K9 Challenges, and agility competitions.
Why: Join other pet-lovers to raise money for the Edmonton Humane Society
Where: Sir Wilfred Laurier Park (beside the Edmonton Valley Zoo)
