Culina Mill Creek - Birthday Celebration

{Culina Mill Creek}

Yesterday was such a rainy day in Edmonton. The dark, stormy day shared the date with my little sister’s birthday. So, I huddled in the kitchen and baked some vanilla cupcakes topped with butter cream icing before heading out to Culina Mill Creek for a birthday dinner. Culina’s is perfectly cozy with just enough sophistication to make it perfect for a romantic date or fun, casual gathering.  The comfort dishes combine eclectic flavours with local ingredients always producing a better version of the classic.  Case in point, Culina’s Famous Bacon & Eggs on the brunch menu featuring mushroom frittata and slow braised bacon. For my sister’s birthday dinner, we stayed close to our favourites – butternut squash soup, potatas bravas, and a selection of hot pots.
