Fork Fest Summer 2010

What: Local independent restaurants offer 3-course meals at delicious prices ($25 or $45).
Why: Your opportunity to try out savoury local favourites like The Blue Pear, Red Ox Inn, Cafe Haven, and Moriarty's.

Havana a Good Time?

What: Sultry Saturday summer nights at the Century Room kick-off with this latin inspired lounge party.

Street Magic
Edmonton Street Performers
What: The final weekend of this Edmonton festival.
Why: Any festival that requires signs that say “YIELD TO LAUGHTER” must be a good time.

Have a Ball
Capitals Baseball
What: It’s a weekend lineup of excuses to eat hot dogs and drink cheap beer in the stands.
Why: Post-game fireworks on Friday, and a screening of Rookie of the Year on Saturday.

When: Friday, July 16 at 7pm, Saturday, July 17. Tickets start at $10.

Trail Running
Moose is Loose Trail Run
What: A 10KM race through Edmonton’s lovely river valley.
Why: The half-marathon is sold out so you have a good excuse for only doing the 10km.
Where: Starts and finishes in Emily Murphy Park.
