Yoga in the Park

What: Yoga on the banks of the North Saskatchewan River with a couple of hundred people peacefully flowing through postures.
Why: The classe is complimentary, but bring a donation for KidSport. (You can keep the treats from lululemon for yourself!)
Tip: Spray yourself with sunscreen and bug spray before settling yourself upon your mat.  
Where:  Louise McKinney Park (South of Grierson Hill, between 95 Street and 99 Street, across from the Shaw Conference center)
When: Saturday, August 14 from 9-11am

Hot Dog
Bark in the Park
What: Bring your dog to the Capitals ball game. Fido will enjoy treats, water and games.
Why: Tickets are only $15 for you and your barking baby – and $5 from each ticket goes to support the Edmonton Humane Society.
Where: Telus Field (10233-96 Avenue)
When: Sunday, August 15 at 2pm

We’ll Show You Ours
Edmonton International Theater Fringe Festival
What: North America’s largest and oldest  fringe with 160 productions and over 1,200 performances.
Why:  Smart Edmontonians take a couple of weeks off work to Fringe. This festival is that good.

When: Thursday, August 12 – Sunday, August 22. Get your tickets.

Unthinkable Magic
Cirque du Soleil
What:  A twisted story about kings’ fools, minstrels, beggars, and children.
Why: You don’t have to wait for your next visit to Vegas to see a Cirque du Soleil production.
Where: Rexall Place
