Irving Farm Fresh back bacon slices are the best thing to happen to my relationship with sandwiches since sliced bread.
I’ve been a long time fan of the classic BLT. My recent visit to Care it Urban Deli inspired this new twist on a classic featuring the lean and juicy back bacon slices from Irving Farm Fresh from Round Hill, AB.
To put a spin on the lunch classic, I swapped out the lettuce for pea shoots and left off the turkey. The result – a sandwich stacked tall with bacon, avocado, tomato and crunchy sprouts. All veggies wedged between prairie milled flax traditional homemade bread from the Prairie Mill Bread Company. (Picked up the bread at the City Market)
