Ode to Edmonton Summer

F-A-L-L is arriving quickly. The mornings are brisk. Stores are bursting with fall fashion. Universities are swirling in back to class excitement. Usually, I’m all over September. This year, I am mourning the passing of a summer that never really happened. I long for the sticky, hot days of summer. I dream of spending the day at a ridiculously packed Mill Creek Pool.

Today, the sun is shining and the temperature reminds us it's still A-U-G-U-S-T.  To celebrate, I’m unpacking my beach bag, sipping lemonade, reading my book, layering on the sunscreen and firing up the BBQ.
