Hotel Alma

(Warning – this is a tale about Calgary)

As Edmontonians, we frequently make our way to Calgary for work, play and friends. I always struggle to find a great place to rest my head at a reasonable price. So, you can imagine my delight with Hotel Alma. It’s adorable and affordable (starts at $129/night and includes a breakfast that is actually healthy and tasty!). It’s not located downtown – it’s on the University of Calgary campus and it radiates a college-vibe. The design is modern, young, and fun. It’s the dorm room you always dreamed of, but weren’t quite sophisticated enough to pull off at eighteen years old. The goodies keep coming with free calls anywhere in Canada, Bath & Body Works products in the washroom, and access to all of the University’s facilities, including Olympic Oval for a workout. I might just stay awhile.
