Storm the Stage
Edmonton Opera
What: An opera-themed party that puts you centre stage.
Why: Get on stage; try on opera costumers; pose for photos; take a backstage tour; and eat, drink and dance your night away.
Where: Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium. Tickets $30 each.

Speak Easy Film
Global Visions Festival
What: World Premier of the documentary ‘That House That Bop Built’ by Edmonton producer/director, Collette Slevinsky. The film celebrates the storied history of Edmonton’s venue for world class jazz – The Yardbird Suite.
Why: It’s a fundraiser for Global Visions Film Festival, Canada’s longest running documentary film festival.
Where: Yardbird Suite (11 Tommy Banks Way). Tickets $20 with all proceeds going the Global Visions Film Festival.
When: Sunday, October 23 from 4pm-8pm

Novel Concept
Lit Fest

What: A nonfiction festival with a series of events, chic gatherings and gourmet experiences.
Why: The line-up of events reads better than a great novel – at a Brunch of Writers enjoy a full buffet whil listening to three powerful female authors. At Genu-Wine authors tackles serious global issues, accompanied by samples of seriously good wine, and a sampling of the brilliant fare at the Hardware Grill
