Farm of Fear
What: The corn maze transforms into the Farm of Fear.
Why: Haunted barns, a spooky farm yard and an eerie cornfield.
Where:26101 SH 627, Spruce Grove. $12 per person.
When: October 28-29, 21 from 7pm-10pm nightly
What: A tale of justice featuring Roxie Hart, a jazz age chorus and a smooth talking lawyer.
Why: Combine it with dinner at Bistro La Persaud for a evening of theatre and culinary delights.
Where: La Cite Francophone (8627 91 Street). Tickets $23/person.
When: October 28 to November 4. Most nights at 7:30pm.
The Write Stuff
Citizen Journalism: A Workshop for Writers
What: Learn the storytelling and information-gathering skills to be a ‘citizen journalist’ and participate in the coverage of local events.
Why: Taught by an editor, you’ll learn story idea generation, interviewing techniques and story structure.
