CREATE
What: An art party where the audience is the audience.
Why: Get your hands dirty painting a wall-sized canvas with local artists or build an Edmonton landmark brick by brick out of lego.
Where: The Artery (9533 Jasper Avenue). Tickets $5 in advance, $10 at the door.

Holiday Style
Fashion’s Night Out
What: Western Canada Fashion Week partners with The Bay to kick-off the holiday style season.
Why: Mingle with local designers, preview holiday fashions, sip wine and try new holiday make-up colours.
Where: In front of the The Bay at West Edmonton Mall.

Friday, December 2 from 6pm-8pm 

Deck the Halls
Festival of Trees

What: Beautifully decorate trees, a North Pole Post Office, cooking decorating, and a special Secret Shop for kids only where volunteers will help them complete their holiday shopping (nothing is over $5).
Why: This festival is more than holiday fun, it raises funds for state-of-the-art technology for the operating room at the University of Alberta Hospital.
Where: Shaw Conference Centre (9797 Jasper Avenue). Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for youth and seniors.
When: Thursday, December 1 – Sunday, December 4. Daily from 9am-9pm, Sunday from 9am-5pm.

The Fine Art of Schmoozy
Latitude 53
What: The perfect mix of an art auction, live music and yummy food (The Marc, Niche, d’Lish).
Why: Amazing artworks donated to the silent auction. Bid on one and support Latitude 53’s vision of exploring the boundaries of contemporary art.

Winter Wonderland Craft Market
Handmade Mafia 
What: Over 40 local crafters, designer and makers of pretty things gather to celebrate the holidays with the art of handmade
Why: Toss aside any preconceived notions of handmade goods - this mafia takes it to the next step.

When: Saturday, December 3 from 10am-4pm

CHiMPROV featuring Rapid Fire Theatre
What: A tale of hilarity right on the spot.
