What: More than 10 city blocks of decorated homes and holiday music playing in the winter air.
Why: Beautiful sights and sleigh rides are available during the evenings.
Where: Along 148th Street, starting at 100th Avenue.
When: Opening night is Friday, December 9 at 7pm.
Alberta Ballet’s The Nutcracker
What: Lavish sets, sparkling costumes and talented ballet dancers deliver a magical tale of the classic, The Nutcracker.
Why: New this season is the Sugar Plum Parties. Go a little earlier to enjoy Christmas crafts, dress-up and treats for the kiddies.
Where: Northern Jubilee Auditorium
When: Friday, December 9 to Sunday, December 11. Matinees at 1:30pm. Evening shows at 7pm.

What: Photographers around the world donate their time and equipment to show love by giving individuals and family portraits for FREE! You’ll leave with a professionally printed photo and have your photos on a cd or emailed to you so you can share them with your family.

Legislative Light Up
What: The Legislative Grounds transform into a winter wonderland with trees sparkling with lights and free skating on the skating rink.
Why: Free hot chocolate is served in the evenings while the choir performs from 6-9pm. See complete choir performance schedule.
