A strong spring 2011 fashion trend: ‘70s disco glam. Think retro-chic looks with one-shoulder draped gowns, jersey jumpsuits, tuxedo-style tailoring and effortless elegant silhouettes.
In the 1960s and 70s the jet setting fashion crowd was known for wearing Halston clothing. People like Bianca Jagger, Liza Minelli, Elizabeth Taylor, and Angelica Huston were seen everywhere in long dresses and jumpsuits.
The Halston line was resurrected in 2010 with the relaunch of its diffusion line Halston Heritage and naming of Sarah Jessica Parker to creative director of the brand. The brand dipped into its archives for the Heritage collection, reworking the iconic ’70s looks into modern pieces.
We can’t get enough of the luxury heritage and jet-set appeal. Halston Heritage is available at The Bay at Southgate Centre.
