What: The launch of a grassroots initiative to empower the city’s next generation of entrepreneurs, creatives and innovators.
Why: Go for the company; this launch will attract local celebrities including the well-known and the yet-to-be-discovered
Where: Tucker Amphitheatre, The Citadel Theatre (9828 101A Avenue). Send your RSVP.
When: Thursday, March 31 at 7pm. Fun reception and cash bar to follow at Lazia City Centre.

Oh, What a Night!
What: The official after party, Splash! of Western Canada Fashion Week. This soiree features a silent auction of artwork and fashion to raise dollars for Latitude 53, a contemporary visual culture that celebrates and supports art in Edmonton.
Why: The most stylish crowd.
Where: North Point (10507 109 Street – formerly Donovan’s Fashions). Advance tickets ($25) now on sale. When: Friday, April 1. Doors at 8pm.

Geeky Art
Gala Guru
What: An annual salute to all things geek-tastic! The digital showcase highlights the best art pieces of students, alumni and staff.
Why: A top-secret project will be unveiled. Hint: Art that is there, but also isn’t.
Where: Art Gallery of Alberta. Tickets are $12.
When: Friday, April 1st. Doors at 6:30pm.

On Your Toes
Behind the Scenes: Serenade & Vigil of Angels

What: artsScene will take you behind the scenes of Alberta Ballet’s Serenade and Vigil of the Angels.
Why: Your night starts with a reception and ‘Ballet 101’. At intermission, you’ll have the exclusive opportunity to go to the Dancers Circle Lounge for a host bar and hors d’oeuvres.
Where: Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium, Lower Meeting Room. Tickets $49.
When: Saturday, April 2 at 6pm.

To Market, Market!
City Hall Spring Market
What: Vendors from the City Marketing downtown on 104th street will be holding the market indoors at within the pyramids of City Hall.
Why: No need to wait until the outdoor market opens in May to buy your favourite items from local vendors.
Where: City Hall, 1 Sir Winston Churchill Square
When: Saturday, April 2 from 11am-3pm. Will be held every Saturday until May 14.
