What: U of A Medical students pose nude for 30 local artists who paint, sculpt and draw. These art pieces are available for purchase by way of silent auction.
Why: This is an annual fundraising event for health projects in El Salvador.
Where: Entreprise Square (10230 Jasper Avenue). Get your invite here. Entrance by donation, cash bar on-site.

Vegas, Baby! Vegas!
Pops goes Vegas, Edmonton Symphony
What: Take a spin on the musical roulette wheel with show tune classics like Luck Be A Lady, Viva Las Vegas, Fly Me To The Moon and Hey Big Spender.
Why: This cast features some high rollers from Broadway and the Vegas Strip.
Where: Winspear Centre. Tickets $24-$81.

Spring Gallery Walk

What: The art galleries in the 124th Street area open their doors to the public.
Why: Meander or take a carriage ride between art galleries, restaurants, clothing boutiques, bookstores and more specialty businesses.

When: Saturday, April 16 from 10am-5pm & Sunday, April 17, 12pm-4pm.

Really Stinky
Sorrentino’s Garlic Stomp
What: Eat, drink and stink at this family-style feast.
Why: Feasting, dancing, fundraising and fun, all in support of the Campaign for Prostate Health.

City Hall Spring Market
What: Vendors from the City Marketing downtown on 104th street will be holding the market indoors at within the pyramids of City Hall.
Why: No need to wait until the outdoor market opens in May to buy your favourite items from local vendors.
Where: City Hall, 1 Sir Winston Churchill Square
When: Saturday, April 16 from 11am-3pm. Will be held every Saturday until May 14.

Fashionably Charitable
The Spirit of Spring
What: A runway show and silent auction in support of the McDougall House, a program for women recovering from addictions.
Why: See guest models from all walks of life strut the runway in clothing from C’est Sera, Derk’s Menswear, gravitypope tailored goods and more.
