Last time your little black dress saw the light of day; you were on a horrible date.
Fast forward to now. It’s time to get back in black.
Twirling into Edmonton is The Little Black Dress Party; a party inspired by the Uniform Project. One gal, Sheena Matheiken, creatively styled the same black dress for an entire year to raise money for Akanksha Foundation (dedicated to educating underprivileged kids in India).
The Little Black Dress Party hopes to rouse the same ray of light with donations to both the Akanksha Foundation and the locally-based charity, Literacy Without Borders.
Here’s how it works:
* Pull out of your closet, your favourite black dress.
* Style accordingly (vintage accessories, bold scarves, killer heels, etc)
* Go to party. Drink martini.
* Bid on silent of auction items, step into the photobooth and donate accessories at the swap table.
