Neapolitan Ice Cream meets Beer

Sherbrooke Liquor and Alley Kat Brewing Company have teamed up for a second edition of Neapolean Stout in honour of the 196th Anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. Yes, that is how they spelled it—a play on Napoleon’s name. Created by Edmonton home brewer Ernie Boffa, this unique brew is a Neapolitan Ice Cream Stout. Think vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream in tasty beer form. A 6 pack of 341ml bottles retails for $18.15 and is available now at Sherbrooke Liquor.

Over the years Edmonton has been fortunate to see Sherbrooke release a number of unique beers such as Bad Hare Day, an Imperial IPA; Single Star; Sherbrooke Shamrock, a green brew made for St. Patrick’s Day; KGB, a Russian Imperial Stout; and, Glenn  Sherbrooke, made using barrels of Glen Breton 10 year old (Canadian Single Malt Whisky from the Glenora Distillery).

Something you may not know, their Pumpkin Pi Spiced Ale, also brewed by Alley Kat, was so popular that it has become an Alley Kat seasonal mainstay in wide circulation (in the fall, of course).

Watch for more great Sherbrooke beers in the future.
