Edmonton Festivals are in full swing, but getting to your favorite event from Sherwood Park can sometimes be a pain in the butt...a pain not worth the hassle. Factors like traffic, a group too large for your vehicle, and lack of available parking all contribute to your decision to skip heading into the city.
Fear not suburban divas, this year Strathcona County Transit has paid particular attention to making sure you who live in Sherwood Park have the best possible opportunity to participate in the wonderful festivals happening right now in and around Edmonton.
Here is a rundown of how to get to where you want to go:
Capital Ex (July 21-31)
Commuter service is extended by one hour. To get to Capital Ex, catch the #401 commuter downtown and then switch to the LRT taking you to Coliseum Station.
The Taste of Edmonton (July 19-28)
As above, commuter service is extended by one hour. Take the #401 downtown and make your way to Sir Winston Churchill Square.
Edmonton Folk Music Festival (August 4-7)
Strathcona Transit has added a stop at the top of Connors Hill for this festival. Take the #401 commuter and get off on Connors Hill. Regular schedule applies during this festival.
Heritage Days (July 30-August 1)
