Editor Love: Ilia Pure Lip Care

Say hello to my new love – ILIA Pure Lip Care.

Our love affair started slowly with an introduction by Refinery29 – I swooned over these words “balm-meets-lipstick lippies from Vancouver.” Initially, I took notice because it was a Canadian beauty product.

The wooing continued with an article in the Globe and Mail. When local bloggers Brianna and Desiree raved about it on their blog VaniteTown.com, I got really weak in the knees.

Today, we finally met. I walked into LUX Beauty Boutique and there it was… waiting for me in six glorious colours that increase in intensity when applied liberally.

ILIA Pure Lip Care gives it to you right in the kisser. There are several forces at work: pomegranate to protect against free radicals, moisturizing elements (jojoba oil, cocoa butter and vitamin E) to condition the lips, and essential oils (jasmine and orange blossom) to uplift the senses. Better yet, this lip conditioner is 85% organic with packaging made from recycled aluminum and post-consumer waste.

I purchased the nude hued Nobody’s Baby but am already planning a return trip to buy Shell Shock Pink and Arabian Knights Red.

Where to Buy:
ILIA Pure Lip Care, $24, available at LUX Beauty Boutique (12531-102 Avenue, 780.451.1423, luxbeauty.com, Facebook, Twitter) or online at Ilia Beauty.

Think of this little post as my winter gift to your kisser.
