I’ve want Edmonton’s streets to hustle with style. So, it’s rather sweet to meet a whole walk dedicated to style – the L2 Style Weekend Walkabout.
A few weeks ago, the founder of L2 Style, Lazina McKenzie, invited me to join a Weekend Walkabout. Committed to showcasing local boutiques, our style walk took place on High Street and 124 Street. The morning started with a meet-and-greet over yummy muffins and coffee served by the owners of FLOC Boutique. As a group, we chatted about our fashion challenges and style aspirations. Next, we shopped, shopped and shopped to great stores like Shades of Grey, Miss Boss, Floc Boutique and Vespucci (vintage clothing). Style consultant Lazina guided us through boutiques, vintage shops and accessory stores, providing styling tips and fashion advice along the way.
Sound amazing? You’re in luck.
The next Weekend Walkabout is scheduled for this weekend (Saturday, September 17) along Whyte Avenue. Shops on the tour include C’est Sera, Oak and Fort, Glam Slam and The Plaid Giraffe.
Can’t make the walk, but need some style advice? I highly recommend Lazina. She’ll deconstruct your closet, take you shopping and help you conjure a strong new sense of self. Check out L2 Style.
Again, a big thanks to Lazina for letting me tag along!
