Been There, Read That

Reading…it’s one of life’s great joys.

Whether you prefer to read an old-school book with a thick binding and smelly, worn pages or if your fingers are happiest holding a smooth, fancy e-reader equipped with wi-fi, every book made and every story told is a lesson in the value of reading.

Strathcona County recognized this importance and in March they officially opened a new, world-class library facility that offers a welcoming environment for visitors. With learning areas catering to every age group and reader, the Strathcona County library has succeeded in delivering a resource that gives the community a wide variety of books, magazines, newspapers, cds, dvds, learning opportunities, and special event services.

There is an enchanted forest and technology discovery zone for kids, a cool youth zone for teenagers, and a career resource centre and business centre for adult professional needs. Each of these areas is strategically located and equipped to fully satisfy every possible requirement.

Check out the Strathcona Library today and rediscover the magic of reading!
