go :: The Movember Moustache Masquerade

Let’s make history together.

November is all about the ‘stache for cash’ to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and male mental health initiatives. By the end of November, it’s time to say goodbye to the moustaches.

This year, attend a Movember shave party like no other. Receive a hot towel shave in vintage barber chairs by the pros from Barber Ha. Tap your toes to live jazz music and keep your lips flappin’ with wine and food.

Your host for the evening is the most famous moustached man in Edmonton’s history: Alexander Cameron Rutherford, the first Premier of Alberta and founder of the University of Alberta. Premier Rutherford cordially invites you all to attend a 1910s themed party at his house. And do dress appropriately - it is 1910 after all. Women are advised to bring their best 1910 hair styles (a.k.a: The Gibson Girl – be inspired here, here and here). You’ll need fascinators, hats and costumes. Big prizes will be awarded to the best “Mo Bro” and most charming “Gibson Girl”.

About Movember: Mo Bros start November 1 clean-shaven and remain dedicated the cause of fine moustachery until the end of November. Mo Bros become valiant walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Everywhere a moustached man goes, he promotes the often ignored issue of men’s health. Learn more.
