Weekend Note :: Creative Workspace + Fashion

Wasn't that extra hour of sleep amazing? I am such an early morning person that I bounded out of bed at my usual Sunday morning time (7am) and delighted to see it was only 6am. I promptly made some banana bread.

It was a busy last few days. On Friday, We did a photoshoot for all the Popply Barley boots. We're launching very, very soon - and we're growing our team! Check out our newly posted jobs.

Friday night, I attended the My Filosophy High Fashion Fundraiser where the audience was treated to two fashions, including the Spring/Summer Joeffer Caoc Collection (the award winning Canadian fashion designer). Outstanding work by My Filosophy to raise money and bring seriously big designers to Edmonton.

I spend hours hanging out in the Mercer Building. I float between Roast Coffeehouse, the Mercer Tavern and my desk at Startup Edmonton (currently home to Poppy Barley headquarters). Startup Edmonton just announced the best news - they're taking over the 2nd floor of the building to create a space for creative entrepreneurs and freelancing graphic designers, industrial designers, fashion designers, production designers, writers, playwrights, illustrators, filmmakers, musicians, video game developers, photographers, storytellers, producers, and publishers. If these positions describe you, then you should come join the fun and rent a desk!

The City and Dale team met on Saturday. We are so excited to deliver some fresh, exciting content for the upcoming festive season. Things will be seriously bright and merry around here!

Enjoy your extra hour today.
