The space is impressively large (115,000 sq ft!) yet it is fun, warm and charming. The Simons family’s love of art, architecture and fashion is evident with every carefully constructed detail, art installation and item of clothing.
Wearable art on the racks with price tags to match sit comfortably next to a $19 skirt. Peter Simons, president and chief executive officer of La Maison Simons, was adamant at explaining that Simons is not pretentious and stuffy. Rather, it’s a place for intelligent shoppers – ones that can expertly master hi/low dressing. Simons customers care more about quality and cut than designer brand names. And while you may recognize some big names – Philip Lim 3.1, Missoni and Chloe, Simons also stocks exclusive brands like twik, Comtemporaine, DJAB and more.
Other standouts include the intimates section (a beautiful selection of undergarments, stockings and leisurewear); the sport boutique (sportwear to look fabulous at the gym or on the ski slopes); and the menswear (finally an outstanding place for men to shop regardless of wallet size).
Simons is impressive; we’ll be shopping there (a lot).
