Edmonton Weekend Guide :: November 8-11

When was the last time you read In Flanders Fields? As I (Gillian) was looking for poppy images for the weekend guide, I came across the poem again for the first time in a few years. Maybe it's because I'm older, or a teacher wasn't telling me to read it or recite it with the class, but it was more impactful this time. Take a moment to read it again and be thankful for the sacrifice that many men and women made (maybe before your time) for us to be enjoying our lifestyle today. Don't forget to take a moment of silence in their honour at 11:00am on Sunday.
