Spring is on its way in Strathcona County and for active moms and dads, that means its time to crawl out of bed early, prep your laptop and stand ready at the keyboard for the anticipated moment when the clock strikes 6:59 am. At that moment, at that precise moment Strathcona County residents will complete a few simple key strokes, cross their fingers, and find out if they have been successful in registering for another session of community activities.
Click-It…go ahead, Click-It. If that term conjures up anxiety and produces little beads of sweat on your forehead, then you probably have experienced the good and the bad of the online registration system used by Strathcona County’s Recreation, Parks and Culture Department. Click-It is so powerful it can, literally, determine whether your personal and family calendar is in order for the coming season or if it turns out to be chaos, sending you into a tailspin trying to find alternate activities.
This week, thousands of eager clickers anxious to register for swimming, boot camp, yoga this, pilates that, buns/butts/bellies for her, ironman training for him, will wake early and prepare to battle friends and foe in an effort to secure those few spots coveted by so many. The Spring session offers a wealth of fantastic programs for old and young alike…there are even some great new kettle bell, TRX, and ViPR classes for adults.
Click your way to successful registration and you will experience that moment when your heart skips a beat and you see the joyful message: Your Registration Has Been Accepted
