The Leaders’ Debate Viewing Party
Watch the first head-to-head confrontation between party leaders in a lounge, with drinks and lots of chatter.
Why: Join the conversation: Alberta’s Under 40 leaders put party politics aside to focus on conversations about what should matter when we vote in the 2012 elections.

Greek Mythology
The Love of the Nightingale
What: A modern adaptation of a Greek Myth. The story of two sisters, torn apart, trying to re-unite and a man whose world view is all about power.
Why: This play will trouble you; it’s about power, compromise and loyalty.
Walterdale Playhouse (10322 83 Avenue). Tickets $12-$16.
When: Nightly until Saturday April 14. Shows at 8pm.

Red Hot Comedy
Bonfire Festival
What: The inaugural festival celebrating long-form improv.
Why: Bonfire is a nocturnal site for story-telling with friends. This festival brings together all your favourite acts and talents to seriously make you laugh!
Where: Varscona Theatre (10329 83 Avenue). Tickets $10.
When: Festival runs until April 15. First show at 7:30pm; second show at 11pm.

Ways to Give Back
Edmonton Volunteer Fair
What: In celebration of National Volunteer Week, a 100 different nonprofit organizations presenting their volunteer opportunities.
Why: Make your mark in the community. Find an organization that matches your passions.

Sing Your Way
Edmonton Opera Brunch
This event has all the drama of Opera served with the deliciousness of brunch.
Why: Hear your favourite arts singing their favourite songs – and WOW – preview the menu.

Gettin’ Crafty
On the Spot Craft Sale

Local crafters gather for a spontaneous sale of handcrafted goods.
