Water in Focus Exhibition
What: Explore the banks of the North Saskatchewan River through the lenses of talented amateur photographers.
Why: This fundraiser is for The North Saskatchewan Riverkeeper whose vision of our river valley is a watershed where we can all safely and enjoyably swim, drink and fish.

Edmonton Poetry Festival
What: The festival features the brief but deadly art known as “blink poetry”; some super cool workshops; poetry slams; poetry sweatshops; and more!
Why: Get fired up about verse.

Doctors and Derrieres
What: U of A Medical students pose nude for 30 local artists who paint, sculpt and draw. These art pieces are available for purchase by way of silent auction.
Why: This is an annual fundraising event for health projects in El Salvador.

Edmonton International Beer Festival
What: Pouring over 200 beers for sampling.
Why: It’s a party with 10 bands performing, too much beer and a rowdy crowd.

Elements Music Festival
What: Edmonton’s electronic music scenesters are putting on Western Canada’s largest electronic music festival.
