Two things that make me smile: good illustration + a love for Edmonton. This proves to the equation for talented Edmonton-based illustrator, Jason Blower.
Blower has captured many of the cities best spots in colorful illustrations. I first spotted Blower’s work at Vivid Print on Whyte Avenue and promptly bought these pieces: Rossadel/Walterdale, Hotel MacDonald, Muttart and High Level. My walls now celebrate my city; a tradition I may have stolen from parents who bought a piece of art to remember every place they lived (and we moved a lot!).
Blower is releasing a new collection called ‘The Sunny Side of Edmonton’. It’s a celebration of the city we call home. The illustrations depict landmarks and emotions, particularly our giddiness with the festivities of summer.
