St. Albert Farmers’ Market
What: The season opener of a beloved St. Albert farmers’ market.
Why:
Load your shopping bag with wares from our favorite local artisans; this is Western Canada's largest outdoor farmers' market.

Bike n' Stuff
Bikeology Festival
What: Go crazy in bike geekery with bikes, music and fun.
Why: June is bike month – get pedaling.

Beaver Hill House Park (105 Street and Jasper Avenue)

Handmade Perfection
Alberta Indie Handmade Fair
What: 25 talented designers and artists under one roof!
Why:  Love Esty? You’ll adore this! The members of the Alberta Etsy Street team are bound to impress.
Where: Old Strathcona Performing Arts Centre (8426 Gateway Boulevard)
When: Saturday, June 16 from 10am-5pm

 A Sweaty Reason to Cheer
Edmonton International Athletics Festival
What
: The Donovan Bailey Invitational is the largest stop on the National Track League’s six-city circuit and showcases Canada's best track & field athletes amongst international competition.
Why:
  Cheer on your favourite athletes from around the globe..
Where
: Foote Field at the University of Alberta Campus. Tickets start at $20.
When: Saturday, June 16 from 1:30pm-4:30pm

Reel and Real
Robots Exhibit

What:
Get up close and interactive with characters from the animated film Robots and real robots.
Why:  In addition to this great exhibit, you and dad can take part in a tomato seedling experiment and make a wooden airplane happening only this weekend.
Where: Telus World of Science, 11211 142 Street NW
When: Robots exhibit is here until September 9, 2012.

Where Art Thou?
Nextfest
What: 500 artists. 50 events. 11 days.
Why:  A celebration of young emerging artists in the disciplines of theater, dance, film and visual arts.
Where: List of the performance arts and visual art venues. Buy your tickets – all shows $10, day passes $18, festival pass $40.
