All that Jazz
Edmonton Jazz Festival
What: A 10-day celebration of jazz! Concerts of all sizes hit stages across Edmonton.
Why: It might not be Montreal's, but it's our gem of a festival. Unfamiliar with jazz? Even better - it's all about jazz for everyone. Attend an event and you'll soon be a regular at the Yardbird Suite.

Opera al Fresco
What: An enchanting opera performance in a lush garden.
Why: Indulge in hors d’ hors d’oeuvres and wine while listening to artists artists Robert Clark, Bertrand Malo, Catherine Daniel, Iren Bartok, members of our Edmonton Opera Chorus and the debut performance of the Edmonton Opera Children’s Chorus
Where: Devonian Botanic Garden (51227 Hwy 60 - Located 5 kms north of Devon on Hwy 60
When: Friday, June 22. Gates open at 6pm; performances start at 7pm. Tickets $49 for adults, $20 for children.
Alley of Light
Street Art Festival
What: A festival reclaiming Edmonton’s lost spaces by making an alley the coolest spot in the city.
Why: Interact with emerging street artists, drink & draw, dumpster wrapping, community graffiti, a hat and tie parade, and more fun!
Where: Alley of Light (located ½ block north of Jasper Avenue in between 103 Street & Beaver Hills Park on 105 Street)
When: Saturday, June 23 from 9am to 10pm.
Sit Down for Stand Up
What: Rapid Fire Theatre hosts over 30 sketch comedians, improvisers, stand-ups and musicians. Sign yourself-up for a workshop and attend a social event.
Why: Guaranteed to be the best off-the-cuff.

20th Annual Pets in the Park
What: Pets and families take over the park in an all day celebration plus a walk/ fun run to raise funds for Edmonton Humane Society.
Why: In addition to checking out all the animals, go see the dancing dogs, play a carnival game, watch a sheep herding demo and stop by the IAM’s tent for children’s activities and face painting.
Where: Hawrelak Park. Consider parking at the U of A Stadium Car Park and take the $1pp shuttle.

Upside Down and Different
The Works Art & Design Festival
What: An incredible display of creativity. Over 400 artists, 28 sites, 40 venues and 200 special events.
Why: Art and design come alive downtown Edmonton.
Where: All around town! From Sir Winston Churchill Square to the Arts District, you'll find art on display in the most mesmerizing places - Enterprise Square, Hotel MacDonald, Don Wheaton YMCA. Browse full event program.
