Elaine Wilson is one of Edmonton's busiest personal chefs! From holding cooking classes (public and private) to hosting dinner parties, developing recipes for others to selling her own line of spices, this passonate foodie loves to share with others. Visit her website and be ready to get in the ktichen!
I sat down in her kichen awhile ago to discuss her lunch routine.
Brown bag or out: Because I spend most days at my commercial kitchen, a client's house or in my home office, I usually eat lunch in. Some times it's freshly made, but more often it's leftovers.
Spot to lunch: I don't have a regular spot, as I don't have a regular schedule. I eat as I work, either standing in the kitchen or at my desk.
Favored lunch vegetable: sugar snap peas (very portable!)
Way to stay hydrated: Green tea and lots of water. I especially like Wesern Family's sparkling water- all the bubbles, no sodium!
My lunch always... is quick and easy! Often leftovers, sometimes tuna salad or a sandwich.
Today's lunch is:
Low-sodium beef and barley soup with sides of: edamame, sliced apple and cranberry walnut bread
Ever curious about people and food, I started the Love to Lunch series. It's a fun way to get to know Edmontonians through their lunch routines. To see previous lunches, click here.
