Lots of women love going to the spa. I’m not one of them.
I love the results - perfectly pedicured feet, glowing skin and relaxed muscles – I just don’t love being pampered (and the time it requires). While “spa-ing”, my head makes grocery lists, my soul longs for yoga and my feet much prefer running.
My anti-spa attitude conflicts with my love for beauty routines, products and the results of good care. My bathroom is stocked with products and I meticulously care for my skin, body and hair. When I need a little professionally help, I reluctantly crave out half a day in my calendar to book myself a spa appointment. (My marathon-running feet, tired eyes and aging (gasp!) skin all benefit from the touch of a trained esthetician.)
I just discovered the most wonderful alternative: express services at Dandy Salon Spa. All express treatments last between 15-30 minutes and cost only $10-$25. These services score on three counts: time considerate, results-driven and friendly on my wallet.Consider the GLOW treatment ($25/15 min): I received a plant-based exfoliating peel that cleanses, peels, tones and moisturizes with the same benefits of a 30% glycolic peel without the redness and irritation. In just 15 minutes, I went from tired, dull skin to a more radiant, even-toned face. I also added the HYDRATE intensive eye treatment ($15/15 min) to help my tired, puffy, dark-circled eyes (way too many long hours building a new company!).
Other services on the express menu include a mini facial, a neck/shoulder/scalp massage and a makeup lesson.
In and out in 30 minutes makes the spa easy, fun and regular appointment in my calendar.
For those of you who prefer traditional spa treatments, Dandy Salon Spa offers a full collection of services including massages, wraps, scrubs, facials, pedicures, manicures and waxing. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and enjoyable.
