Friday night is the first of Northlands Park's Park After Dark. Every Friday until August 30, the tarmac at the horse races turns into a patio party with food, DJs, and thoroughbreds racing to the beats. Starts at 6pm.

A $2 Pancake Breakfast? Yes, please! The Downtown Edmonton Community League will be serving up breakfast on 104 St and Jasper Ave from 8:30-11am on Saturday, June 8th.  Thanks, Sobey's and DECL!

Because a pancake breakfast followed by the open air City Market isn't enough fun for one day,  the Edmonton Pride Festival Parade will join the Saturday fun. The loud, fun parade will kick off at noon on 107 Street and runs along 102 Ave to Churchill Square.

Saturday is River Day! The River Valley Alliance is hosting a number of activities along the North Saskatchewan River to celebrate the beautiful dale we are so lucky to have! Check out the events and schedule here.  (Dale = opening or valley... City and Dale... get it?)

Nextfest begins on Thursday, running until June 16th. Nextfest celebrates young, emerging artists in the avenues of theatre, dance, film, and visual arts. Over 500 artists will be showcased in more than 50 events over 11 days. Schedule and more info can be found here.
