Edmonton Weekend Guide :: February 6-9

It's a bit of a quiet weekend before all the Valentine's Day events ramp up next week. This weekend, stay warm with a warm drink and a good book or close friend.

Decorate: New wallpaper for your desktop, anyone?
Shop: Loft 82 is now named Noul, with an online store too!
Eat: The Common serves up a lot more than great drinks and music.

Every Sunday in February, Churchill Square is home to Swing 'n Skate - free figure skating and dancing. Fill up your thermos with hot chocolate then head down to the core for live music from The Edmonton Swing Band and groovy skating.

The Boyle Street Plaza Maker's Faire is the latest On the Spot Pop Up Shop. This one promises to be mini boutiques, not the usual rows of tables. Saturday and Sunday (10am-4pm) at Boyle Renaissance Plaza.

Looking for some live music this weekend? YEG Live has all the options you'll need this weekend and beyond. They have thousands of listings each year for big and small shows. Check in whenever your life needs a bit more music.
