Swap those books you've already read for new ones at The Great Edmonton Book Swap IV. Bring at least 5 gently used books and leave with as many as you came with. It's happening at the Edmonton Journal headquarters on Saturday from 10am-noon.

A downtown favourite, Taste of Edmonton, runs until July 23 in Churchill Square. Sample dishes from over 50 local restaurants. It's easy: buy tickets, exchange 2-6 tickets for each food item, then bon appetit! This year, you can attend an off-site culinary adventure, enjoy an evening pop-up tasting, and attend workshops.

K-days kicks off this weekend (running until July 27 at Northlands Park). Downtown streets will be lined with spectators for the K-Days Parade on Friday morning at 10am. The parade route starts in Churchill Square heading west on 102 Ave to 105 St and back along 103 Ave. Get there early to claim a good spot!  For all the rides, concerts, and other K-Days events, check their website.

Freewill Shakespeare Festival has moved indoors this year while repairs are made to the amphitheatre in Hawrelak Park. The Shakespeare is just as good indoors at Myer Horowitz Theatre, running daily (except Mondays) until July 27.
