Phew! Another jam-packed summer weekend in our lovely city. It's the longest days of the year (sunrise to sunset) so make the most of your sunny weekend!

Art: Art in the Parkallen
Bike: Bikeology - Mocktails on the Bridge
Hot Ticket: A Streetcar Named Rapid Fire (Improv show in the High Level Streetcar!)

Rapid Fire Theatre hosts international sketch comedians, improvisers, stand-ups and musicians for Improvaganza. Laugh out loud at one of the shows, sign yourself-up for a workshop and attend a social event. Psst: There is even an evening with the mayor getting on stage!

It's fun and easy to take part in #YEGlongday - a project focused on getting all of Edmonton recording (through tweets, pics and posts) what it means to live the longest day of the year in one of Canada’s most northern urban centres. It's easy - just share with the world what you're doing on Saturday June 21 on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram using the hashtag #YEGlongday.

Zoo Fest sounds like a fun time: wine sampling, taste offerings from local eateries, get up close and personal with Edmonton Valley Zoo's resident animals, live entertainment, raffles, and more. Saturday night starting at 6:30pm. Get your tickets quick!

Join Opera Al Fresco for an elegant garden party with wine and hors d'oeuvres, where operatic voices perform on four stages amid the greenery of the Devonian Botanic Garden. Friday night at 7pm - tickets here.

A 10-day celebration of jazz - Edmonton International Jazz Festival! Concerts of all sizes hit stages across Edmonton. It might not be Montreal's, but it's our gem of a festival. Unfamiliar with jazz? Even better - it's all about jazz for everyone. Attend an event and you'll soon be a regular at the Yardbird Suite.

The Works Art & Design Festival is two weeks of creativity with over 200 exhibits and events for everyone. It's all around town!  From Sir Winston Churchill Square to the Arts District, you'll find art on display in the most mesmerizing places. Check out the festival guide and plan your free events. A favourite: the street furniture building competition.
